  • How much do kittens cost, and what does the price depend on?"
We don´t have specific costs for our kittens, all prices may vary depending on many factors. • Type & Quality - The most important aspects considered for the price. We base our prices on the breed standard, the proportion of the head, body, eyes, tail, etc. We have spent several years of work to obtain the desired type of our animals, achieving the desired result by selecting certain pairs of producers, each time leaving the animals necessary for his work or acquiring them in other nurseries. This has been a work in progress, we still have certain goals we want to acheive, but aside from genetics, the results are unpredictable and depends on luck. This does not mean that animals that are not extreme in type or quality are less beautiful, or less purebred. There are no clear boundaries between animals of different types. • Color - We are called The Colored Kingdom, we specialize in color genetics and color must definitely be a key factor on the price. For example, all colors in our kennel are rare at the moment or very popular. Also, the price depends on the quality of the color, color variations exist even in the same color code which also includes eye color. • Bloodline - The purchase of animals of a certain blood, it may be interesting if you plan to engage in breeding work. Kittens from some lines may cost more than others. For example, because these bloods are either very rare, or kittens from these producers have had the greatest success at shows. • Purpose of purchase - The price may depend on the purpose of your purchase. Do you want a kitten as a pet, or are you a registered breeder that seeks other lines? Depending on the purpose of the purchase, the same kitten can have two prices: "as pet" (spayed/neutered) or "with breeding rights" (intact for breeding). Either option will include TICA registration Often, kittens are offered for reservation when they are still very young, and in this case their price is determined based on either color, quality, or the development of kittens from previous litters. But price may change if we see any alteration in quality of any kitten. After the reservation and the conclusion of the contract, the agreed price does not change even if there are changes in the kitten. The range of price "as pet" is $1,500 - $4,500. But again, prices may vary. For inquiries of kittens "with breeding rights" please contact us for further information
  • What is included in the price?
    - TICA Registration - Age appropriate vaccines - Deworm - Spay/Neuter - Travel documents (if needed) - Health certificate by a veterinarian - Starter kit - Photos
  • Why are kittens spayed/neutered if they are offered "as pets"?"
Spayed and neutered pets are less distracted by sexual instincts. They can become more responsive to family members. Spayed and neutered pets are less likely to roam the streets and become lost or injured in search of a mate. (Male cats can smell a female in heat over great distances) The majority of cat owners notice no change in their cat’s personality. If a change is noticed, it is typically a decrease in their cat’s desire to roam, fight with other animals, or exhibit anxious, aggressive behavior. Instead, they become more affectionate. Spayed female cats are less likely to develop cancer or pyometra, a common uterine infection in unaltered females. Female cats in heat spray and defecate in inappropriate places and stain carpets and furniture. Additionally, they attract noisy, fighting and bothersome males. Spaying eliminates these problems. Pregnant female cats eat more, both when pregnant and after offspring are born. Raising kittens is expensive, and it is time-consuming to feed, worm, vaccinate, advertise and place them into homes. Neutered male cats are less likely to suffer infections or disorders in the reproductive or prostate glands, or develop lower genito-urinary problems. These conditions can lead to kidney disease, the most common problem in unaltered males over five years old. Unaltered male cats typically spray urine to mark territory both inside and outside the home. Neutering, at a young age, normally eliminates this problem. It is also important to mention, that not everyone is ready for the commitment of breeding, and this practice is not a money making machine. Professional breeding of purebred cats is a science involving years of study of desirable breed characteristics. For the novice, little money, if any, can be made when the mother cat is properly cared for and kittens are fed, dewormed, vaccinated, etc. Responsible breeding is our goal and main standard, most of our kittens will go to loving homes as pets, very few will go intact to continue their lines. This is our responsability and our commitment. We do not release intact cats for families who just want one litter and then decide to spay/neuter. We will only sell intact kittens "with breeding rights" to registered breeders who can prove their responsible breeding practices.
  • How is shipping or delivery handled?
Our delivery is done in person at the cattery or in our offices in Monterrey, Mexico. For the safety of our kittens we will not allow them to travel in cargo by themselves. They must travel accompanied by a person. Personalized deliveries to other cities can be arranged either internationally or domestically and we will require the following: - Round trip ticket - Pet in cabin fee - Carrier - Acommodations in a nearby hotel if travel requires multiple days - Honorary fees
  • How to reserve a kitten
Kittens can only be reserved after they are born. We do not have a waiting list. The choice of a kitten occurs when the kittens are about 1.5-3 months old. In order to make a reservation, first we require you to fill out an application and have an appointment in our offices or a video call to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have. Only after these two steps you will be able to make a reservation of your desired kitten. Keep in mind that it is on a "first come, first serve" basis, only the kittens that have not yet found a home will be available for choosing. The reservation is $500 USD at the time you choose your kitten. We will only hold a kitten for 24 hours to make this payment. The deposit is a guarantee for the breeder and is not refundable if the buyer changes his mind. When paying for the reservation, the kitten will be considered reserved. The remaining will have to be payed at 3 months of age of the kitten in order to proceed with the spay/neuter. You can pick up the kitten when it is about 4 months old (Time may vary)
